Some answers to questions:

1. This site is called AmericanConfusion.com because I originally had posted here a lot of information about my earlier book, Lethal American Confusion: How Bush and the Pacifists Each Failed in the War on Terrorism.

2. I decided to use this site to describe Stressed Family, Strong Family, because there is enough room here to provide samples of a number of different chapters. I have shorter descriptions on another website, StressedFamily.com, so that people searching with that term can find the book.

Incidentally,  there is no title in the self-help books listing on Amazon that combines the words "stressed family" and "strong family."

3. I'm a retired Connecticut psychiatrist specializing in children, adolescents, and families. My work included evaluation and treatment of patients in hospitals, day programs, schools, clinics and my private office. I've counseled youth and families struggling with depression, psychosis, drug and alcohol abuse, attention deficit disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and emotional reactions to the confusion and stress of their lives. Because many people have opinions about medication in psychiatry, let me say that I have found psychiatric medication for patients to be either helpful or harmful, depending on the situation and the side effects.

4. This book, Stressed Family, Strong Family is a thank you message to my wife, children, grandchildren, and former patients, colleagues and staff members. I've learned a lot from all of you!
